infections and viruses in the schools and nurseries with automated Evolve Raybotix disinfection.

Making Schools & Nurseries Safe

Following the relaxation of the first lockdown in summer 2020, the repeated message from Government was that ‘schools are safe’.  The evidence* does indeed show that transmission in schools and nurseries has been low compared to other settings.  However, these environments are not safe by magic!  It’s down to the stringent implementation of infection and control measures by school principals and their staff who are committed to keeping their pupils and themselves as safe as possible.

It is not in the power of any school or nursery setting to guarantee the safety of all members of their community; though they do have a responsibility to operate in accordance with Public Health guidelines.

With growing concern around the new strains of coronavirus, navigating the business of supporting anxious staff, parents and children through an eventual staggered return at a time of unprecedented levels of infection in the community will be challenging.

This is where the team at Evolve Raybotix can help…

Sanitising Schools & Making Your Spaces Safe

We are the only UK supplier of  UV-C Ozone disinfection robots which are now classified as a ‘medical device’ by the Ministry of Health. These cutting-edge robots use UV-C light supported by Ozone gas to destroy microorganisms’ DNA structures, quickly and safely eradicating 99.9% of harmful bacteria and viruses in an environmentally friendly and chemical-free way. This method of cleansing is ideal for a school or nursery environment as it is quick, efficient, requires no moisture and leaves no residue.

Evolve Raybotix robots are the perfect solution for regular sanitisation of classrooms, offices, common rooms and sports facilities to ensure infection rates are minimised through thorough disinfection of all surfaces.

Regular use of an Evolve Raybotix robot is not only an effective way at keeping the bioburden of a classroom to a minimum but serves as a highly efficient way to deeply disinfect a space where positive cases of COVID may have been detected.

Pebbles Day Nursery

We have recently paid a visit to Pebbles Day Nursery in Swansea which has remained open since the very first lock down for the children of key workers.

Owner, Kelly Phillips, has put in place a number of measures to ensure the safety of the children, parents and staff at the nursery.  These include sanitising stations at the nursery entrance, at access points to individual rooms; limiting the numbers of visitors to the nursery;  wearing masks when parents arrive to drop off or pick up their children; and arranging visits by prospective parents during evenings and weekends only.  Staff are also tested regularly and will be actively encouraged to get the Covid vaccine once it is on offer to this group.

Children are also encouraged to wash their hands regularly as part of their ongoing daily routine (which is made fun to songs and music).

Concerns over the new strain of the virus plus an increase in the number of key worker children now at the nursery, made Kelly consider the next step in the disinfection and sanitisation of the premises.

She invited the Evolve Raybotix team to come along to give a demonstration of the NEO robot and was impressed with the results.

Says Kelly, “At Pebbles, we are always looking at ways to improve our sanitisation process and when we heard about a local company who had developed disinfecting robots, we were keen to find out more.  What is of particular importance in our setting is that these are classified as medical devices and so we have the confidence that this sort of accreditation brings.  What’s more, the disinfection can take place quickly, safely and effectively when the nursery is closed with no harmful chemicals involved in the sanitising process.”

Nursery Practitioner, Tamzin Cuggy-Jennings, explains how important it is to have a deep-sanitisation option for the nursery on a day-to-day basis:
