Return to Work Survey Supports Need for Workplace Disinfection Services

There are many challenges facing both employers and employees as Covid-19 restrictions are lifted and we are now being encouraged to return to the workplace. However, going back to work will never be the same again with people having to face the burden of new challenges.

Employees, for example, might have various concerns regarding their safety; whilst employers have a responsibility to keep their employees safe and protected in the workplace.

At Evolve Raybotix, we were very interested to find out which issues were of main concern to employees who are now being asked to return to work as we have the ideal solution for delivering a robust, frequent and cost-effective disinfection service. So we recently ran a survey asking some key questions of employees about their concerns when it came to going back to the workplace rather than working from home.

We believe that this information will also help employers to put in place measures to re-assure staff that their workplaces are safe from the spread of all viruses, including the coronavirus.

Survey Results

Question 1

The majority of people specified that safety in the workplace was their main concern whilst others also expressed concerns around contracting coronavirus and the lack of flexibility with a return to work.

Question 2:

The majority of respondents felt that having in place a robust disinfection process as well as social distancing measures would help to keep them safer in the workplace. One other respondent stated that they just wanted to get back to work safely.

Question 3

It appears that most employers have hand sanitisers in place whilst, in other settings, some use the services of a commercial cleaning company whilst others use staff members to carry out their cleaning process. Some respondents stated that social distancing measures were in place whilst others were unsure about how their workplace was disinfected. None of the respondents were aware of their employer having any specialist disinfection or sanitisation equipment in place.

Question 4:

Most respondents felt that they would feel safer if there was a specialist company carrying out the cleaning and disinfection in their workplace compared to employees carrying out the cleaning themselves.

Question 5:

The majority of respondents felt that they would feel safer in the workplace if it was disinfected using specialist equipment such as robots, whilst 30% of employees were unsure.

Question 6:

Though the majority of respondents had not heard of Disinfection robots, those that were aware of them were from direct referrals or social media.
