Frequently Touched Surfaces
Showroom customers in particular like to feel, touch and try out all sorts of surfaces. These can include doors, drawers, cupboards, taps, toilets and tiles in a kitchen or bathroom showroom; tables, chairs, cabinets, sideboards, beds and headboards in furniture showrooms; and handles, gear sticks, steering wheels, upholstery, boots and the general external of a vehicle in car showrooms.
In these spaces where many surfaces are subject to touch points, it is important to follow all the safety guidelines laid out by Public Health England and Public Health Wales, which include carrying out risk assessments and putting in place appropriate measures based on these assessments.
